Audio Obscura announces Amsterdam Dance Event 2019 parties at Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ

Joris Voorn’s Spectrum, Len Faki all night long and 10 years of Adriatique

Amsterdam’s most innovative party promoters Audio Obscura today reveal their first events for the 2019 edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event, taking over the famous Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ concert hall for three unforgettable nights (17-19 October).

The stunning riverside venue caters for several thousand people over its four beautiful spaces – the Theater, Bimhuis, Deck and Chapel – and will vibrate to the sounds of some of the biggest house and techno artists in the world during the world-famous club festival and industry conference.

Thursday 17 October sees Audio Obscura team up with Joris Voorn’s Spectrum, following on their spectacular Kingsnight celebration in April and other previous collabs. Voorn will play a very special all-night back-to-back set in the main room with a huge guest who also featured at Audio Obscura’s Spectrum ADE sessions a couple of years ago. This special guest will be announced soon. Over in the neighbouring Bimhuis room, the mighty Hot Since 82 holds court alongside Josh Butler, with more artists to be announced.

Friday 18 October focuses on German techno hero Len Faki, who will play all night long to take the crowd on an epic journey through his record box. Also expect Colin Benders who joins UK talent Blawan, the enduring master that is Germany’s Ellen Allien, Henning Baer and Dr. Rubinstein. Dutch hero Benny Rodrigues plays under his acclaimed ROD alias for his Audio Obscura debut. More guests to be revealed.

And finally on Saturday 19 October, Adriatique continues their successful partnership with Audio Obscura. They’ll celebrate their 10 year anniversary in the game with a their EP ‘X’ and this special event, including an all-night set of their own, with support from Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Red Axes, Roman Flügel, Matthew Dekay, Marino Canal and many more acts who will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Audio Obscura has joined forces with a new ticketing partner: GUTS. This startup from Amsterdam uses innovative blockchain technology to make ticket sales honest and transparent. GUTS’ digital tickets are registered to the smartphone of the ticket buyer, which protects them from fraud and scalping, and it opens the door for exciting technical innovations. Audio Obscura is the first organization in the dance industry who will start working with GUTS.

Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ has hosted Audio Obscura before, but a program like this marks another historic chapter in their impressive history. Look out for more ADE announcements coming from them very soon.

The ticket sale start Wednesday July 10 at 12.00 CEST via GUTS.
