August Residency Alert: Zed Bias Takes Over XOYO London

Building on its reputation as London’s leading bass music fortress, XOYO London and its sought-after Friday night residency prepares to welcome another legend of the game as renowned UKG trailblazer Zed Bias hosts a four-week program this August. Following the success of his sold out show at fabric in May, the underground UK tastemaker sets his sights on the heart of Shoreditch, inviting a star-studded cast of DJs and live PA performances from Marcus Nasty, Klose One, Omar, Terri Walker, Sir Spyro, Dub Phizix & Strategy and many more. For weekly lineups, tickets and info on XOYO’s club and live music programme, visit https://www.xoyo.co.uk/whats-on.

Hailed as a pivotal figure in shaping the dubstep genre and exploring a more experimental side of 2-step garage, Dave Jones, better known as Zed Bias, has carved a path as one of the most diverse and highly respected contemporary electronic musical ambassadors over the last 25 years. His musical journey, from founding his own label, Sidewinder, to signing with LockedOn and XL Records – and staging a recent roadblock at fabric – has inspired younger talents and left a lasting impact on the global music scene.

Keeping with the trend of emphatic residency programming at XOYO, August’s instalment doesn’t shy away from the challenge, providing a line up of 18 artists joining Zed Bias across the month covering a broad range of upfront high quality UK club sounds. Week one on 2nd Aug sees a live PA doubleheader with Omar and Terri Walker joined by Tarsza and Joey Mantzi. Week two on 9th Aug welcomes Marcus Nasty and Klose One alongside Murder He Wrote, hosted by Chunky. The third week, 16th Aug, plays host to Sir Spyro, Silkie and Raggs, hosted by Sgt Pokes. And the finale on 23 Aug ends with a bang with Dub Phizix & Strategy, Metrodome & Sl8r and a live PA from Slay, hosted by Inja.

XOYO, a cornerstone of London’s club scene, has become synonymous with the city’s diverse and world-renowned nightlife culture through its legendary residencies. In its distinctive and intimate setting, XOYO has featured an impressive roster of hosts, including celebrated artists like Andy C, Randall, Goldie, Interplanetary Criminal, T.Q.D, Fabio & Grooverider, Conducta, Alix Perez, among many others.

XOYO has consistently prioritised creating a safe, inclusive, and genuine clubbing atmosphere at their London and Birmingham venues. This commitment has cemented their reputation as a respected name in the UK club scene. They provide an environment where patrons enjoy outstanding music from top-tier performers in a secure and inviting space.

With 25 Years of Zed Bias: The Residency, XOYO continues to celebrate the many shades of bass-heavy dance music from a slew of the industry’s most celebrated figures.
