Aux Awards 2023 Winners Revealed

The results of the 2023 Aux Awards have been revealed in celebration of the best in independent music makers, technology and music industry brands. Founded by the online platform, Aux.app, where creators can store, sync and collaborate on audio files in a seamless way with anyone in the world, the Aux Awards was led by a public vote and saw winners across 9 categories commended for their innovative steps and successes over the last 12 months.

Disco house producer Angel Lee picked up the Hot Tip Award for Best Independent Artist, American melodic rock band Luna scored Best Album for their Dust We Are LP, neo-soul / RnB artist Rachel Jane scored Best Single for Still Here, and tech house producer and DJ Sir Francis was awarded in the Game Changer category for Most Innovative Artist.

Technology and music industry brands that won over the public include music production podcast Tape Notes who scooped Best Music Podcast, Independent Venue Week came out on top in the Breaking Barriers category, and fresh start up company Softside, which helps artists connects with fans through the curation of merchandise, was crowned in Best New Music Tech.

A record number of votes were cast this year with double the amount of the debut awards in 2022.

The shortlist of over 70 nominees was thoughtfully selected by the visionary team at Aux together with reputable industry partners MusicAlly, Lady of The House and DataTransmission.

Aux.app, founded by tech start-up entrepreneur Ben Bowler (formerly of Chew.tv / Indie Tech Ltd / Send Music) commented,

“At the core of our company is a desire to support independent musicians, that’s why we set strict rules on who can be nominated to make sure the underrepresented artists get a chance to shine. Seeing artists like Rachel Jane, Luna, and Angel Lee come through and win makes it all worthwhile.  Moreover, I’m humbled to see musicians, industry and fans alike come together with true excitement for this year’s voting, it definitely exceeded our expectations.”
