AVAION releases emotionally charged ballad ‘drown’

‘drown’ in soundwave format is simplistic in style, yet rich in sentiment. Electronic artist AVAION flirts with subtle influences of ambient UKG over his slick interpretation of new school deep house for his latest dancefloor ballad on Sony Music

Through AVAION’s signature vocal delivery, ‘drown’ depicts the overwhelming tidal waves of emotion that engulf one when in the presence of an individual person or an out-grown environment that no longer meets the needs of your evolved self; “when I fell in your ocean, I knew you’d let me drown.” Furthering this annotation beyond the naked ear, AVAION masterfully curates the main lead in the drop from a custom audio recording of the sea’s natural sonics carefully warped in Ableton.

Alongside the single release comes a thought-provoking music video shot in Berlin by long-standing creative partners Off The Project and featuring AVAION himself. Following two lost and wandering souls as they inhabit the city at night and interpret their own sense of metaphorical drowning. A feeling that resonates amongst many 20-something year olds who are finding their way and acknowledging the growth required to rid toxic energies and environments they are drawn to.

After putting these feelings into sonic form, AVAION took to his Instagram page to share an early snippet of the track performing real-time vocals and synth pads, receiving adoration from fans and demand for official release.

Following a bountiful festival season, fall 2024 is a season of connection for AVAION as he returns to the dancefloor for the second instalment of his For The Vibes live tour. Following an astounding success with his debut headline European tour in the spring, a select run of additional dates will take place across Munich, Stuttgart, Antwerp and Cologne in October and November. Additionally, AVAION is present at annual industry conference and festival Amsterdam Dance Event 2024.

As AVAION continues to refine his voice in the music scene as a multi-faceted DJ and producer, new single ‘drown’ is a glimpse towards the direction he’s headed in next.

‘drown’ is out now on Sony Music.
