More than 100 international acts and DJs performing at the world’s largest outdoor techno festival.
The 14th edition of Awakenings – the world’s largest outdoor techno festival – will be, for the first time in the festival’s history, a weekender. Not one, but two days filled with the very best that techno has to offer – on Saturday June 28th and Sunday June 29th, Spaarnwoude Houtrak, from noon till 11 PM.
The festival has more than enough areas to represent all aspects of the techno scene. Awakenings is praised for the excellent mix of well-established names and upcoming new talent. International superstars such as Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Joris Voorn and Sven Väth are more than happy to return to the festival grounds once again this year. And to take it one step further: the line-up for the two huge open air areas on Sunday has been put together by Awakenings in close cooperation with world famous DJs Carl Cox (Carl Cox & Friends) and Adam Beyer (Drumcode).
Awakenings festival has always been spot on with what’s buzzing in the techno scene. This year they will bring hot new names such as Clouds, Breach, Finnebassen, Blawan, Midland and Pangaea & Pariah. For the entire line-up, check www.awakenings.nl and www.awakeningsfestival.nl
For the last couple of years, Awakenings Festival has always sold out in advance, one of the reasons behind the festival organisation Monumental’s decision to extend the festival from one day to two. This also gives them the opportunity to book even more acts and to put certain acts on the line-up for both festival days, meaning the audience that misses out on an act on Day 1 has a chance to catch up with the act on Day 2. An extra day also means even more spectacular special effects and decorations.
