DIRIDIM is a brand new label from legendary recording artist David Morales. It kicks off with a stunning new single featuring Alex Uhlmann and is taken from his forthcoming album, FREEDOM, due later in the year.
DIRIDIM is a musical hub that will embrace a wide range of sounds, with the initial release a manifesto of sorts, putting the music first above hype, trends or passing fads. Special guest Alex Uhlmann is frontman of the Planet Funk band and the lyrics in ‘Back Home’ speak of a desire to connect wholeheartedly with fans through music.
Native New Yorker David Morales, of course, is a long time house pioneer and one of the scene’s first superstars. He is a Grammy winner who has remixed and produced over 500 releases for artists including Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson, as well as countess classics like ‘Needin U’, plenty of esteemed artist albums and a veteran of the global club and festival circuit who gets the ‘floor moving like no other.
This new single is a tender and emotive house track with undulating drums sucking you in and carrying you away. The vocals add a layer of romance and the twinkling synths and subtle percussion all help bring the groove to life. It’s one to get the crowds swaying and singing along and comes with a Word Mix and Instrumental which are suited to different moments in the night.
This is sure to become a huge summer anthem in 2018 and marks the start of an exciting new label and chapter in the storied career of David Morales.
