On Saturday 1st of March the pioneers of old skool House and Garage events, Back To 95, are getting ready to blow out the candles at their hotly anticipated 13th Birthday party and their last event at historic landmark garage & house venue, Club Colosseum in Vauxhall before it closes down! Lining up for this milestone anniversary occasion and first 95 event of the year are Special Guests, DJ Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont, playing an Exclusive 2 Hour set, Norris ‘Da Boss’ Windross and Ramsey & Fen plus flying in Exclusively from the US, Live, Gerideau, the voice behind classics including ‘Masquerade’, ‘Take A Stand For Love” and “Swing Low”.
Saturday March 1st’s last ever Back To 95 event at London’s historic nightclub, Club Colosseum, promises to take the roof off one last time with another incredible line up of DJs and hosts from past to present, taking you back to the original old skool vibe and party atmosphere. Four rooms of sounds covering the original party UKG vibe, old skool jungle classics, soulful and deep house and 80’s Soul & R n’ B, this is going to be a night to remember.
Headlining the Main Room on the decks is the multi-talented DJ & Producer, Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont , whose Solo Music label via Champion Records (home of Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records) is home to his new Jam & Keys partnership. Their first release “The Lost Tapes EP”on Madhouse Records immediately established the label, and with co-producer Scott Diaz, the duo’s remixes of classics like Raze’s “Break 4 Love” and EMKYU “Gabrielle” have hit No 1 in the Traxsource chart for 8 weeks!Lining up alongside Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont are headliners and original UK playmakers Norris ‘The Boss’ Windross, Ramsey & Fen, Hermit and Daryl B – all of them Back To 95’s favourite DJ dons.
Setting the Main Room ablaze is a rare UK performance from the unmistakable powerhouse US singer, Gerideau, who has a massive underground following with both new and old Garage & House fans alike, with his classic songs being played to this day. A truly unique and original vocal star, Gerideau performs his 1st Live show in the UK in 5 years, and experience his riveting emotion and passion on classic anthems such as ‘Masquerade’ and ‘Swing Low’.
Keeping the Birthday feeling flowing will be original mic controllers, MC’s Buzzard, Creed, DT, CKP, and Blakey.
With 3 more Rooms of sounds, including an R n’B, Bashment & 80’s boogie Room (always part of the original ‘garage’ parties) with Rampage and the Firin’ Squad; Oldskool Drum & Bass headlined by Jumping Jack Frost and Phantasy and rounding off with a Soulful & Deep House Room hosted by the capital’s Housefm.net. station.
Over the last 13 years, the seminal Back To 95 have hosted more than 48 amazing parties in various legendary nightclubs including The Aquarium, Heaven, Fire & Light Box, Ministry of Sound, Pulse, Proud 02, Legends and the Emporium as well as heading up a sound system at Notting Hill Carnival. Bringing together and entertaining tens of thousands of discerning connoisseurs every year to celebrate the Oldskool era of House and Garage music, Back To 95 hits the right chord with clubbers with its original DJs, hosts and special appearances from House music ground breakers such as Barbara Tucker, Arnold Jarvis, Kathy Woods, Kim English, Elizabeth Troy, Robbie Craig, Crystal Waters and DaJae.
