Integrity is Singapore-based DJ/producer Eddie Niguel’s modus operandi, and his personal value system will extend to the imprint's commitment of releasing tracks that embody some form of musical integrity, regardless of genre.
June 2016 will see Niguel inaugurate a new imprint, Integrity Records, with his ‘Back2Basics EP’. Integrity Records will be the primary outlet for the producer's own material – although releasing other's works in the future is not precluded. The label’s first release comprises four tracks showcasing the different shades of house as a well-loved genre. From classic to dub, contemporary to futuristic, “Back2Basics” offers a glimpse into the producer's early house influences and more.
Far from a retro take on house music, ‘Back2Basics’ sounds like a lost classic, a gem unearthed from a time capsule, taking you straight back to the time when house was properly house. ‘Do It’ features Niguel’s now trademark melodies – big and straight up for the dancefloor. ‘Visions’ is a more subtle, deeper take, infused with mood for a glistening warm up. The title track, ‘Back2Basics’ carries the scent of an instant classic, while ‘The Way’ effortlessly merges the old and new for a bright way forward in 2016 – who knew it could be done? For the house music lover from KMS to Innervisions, now there’s Eddie Niguel and Integrity Records to fill in the gap.
“In a time when the world is telling us which way to go and how to live, it is good to remind ourselves of the basic principles of living…”
The 'Back2Basics' EP will be released on Integrity Records on 27th June 2016

ARTIST PROFILE
Eddie Niguel only has a handful of releases in the past few years on labels such as Midnight Shift, Dig Deeper and Get Physical, opting for quality over quantity. Even then, he has left an indelible mark on electronic music spheres in that short period of time. Releases such as “Solitude”, underground earworm hit “Absolute”, the recent “City 2 City” and anthemic “The Warehouse” crossed over multiple dancefloors, festivals and DJ mixes worldwide including the Essential BBC Radio 1 shows. Played and supported by a variety of forward thinking DJs such as Laurent Garnier & Dixon, festival favourites KiNK & Sasha to techno stalwarts Dubfire & Len Faki, the producer has displayed a diverse sound that amalgamates a wide range of influences from the finest deep house to peak time mainroom cuts and beyond.
