Backclash ft. K Zie – Sugar Daddy

After the successful partnership behind ‘No (Pecker)’, production wonder-kid Backclash and talented singer-songwriter and beatboxer K Zie have teamed up again to take the Dance music world by storm. Their latest single ‘Sugar Daddy’ has hit the stores since the 21st of March, 2014 and is surely seeking to catapult Backclash and K Zie onto the international electronic music scene. This tandem has a proven track record of producing wonders, and despite their young age, 18 and 19 years old, the pair have already kick started their careers in the best of ways.

Getting his hands on DJ equipment at the tender age of 6, Backclash has developed into a fully fledged DJ and producer, with mad production skills and a multitude of experience behind the decks in a live setting. Moreover, his industrious work ethic is certainly being displayed, having already released 3 singles in 2015 and with more to come in the months ahead. On the other hand, Shehbaz Antonio Ahmad, better known as K Zie is a vocal and song-writing specialist within the RnB, Pop, EDM, and Dance genres. Based in London, the gifted artist has been putting out solo material since 2013 and is surely showing signs of immense musical growth with every release.

Embedded within the Progressive House genre ‘Sugar Daddy’ kicks off with a pounding four-on-the floor drum pattern and an infectious deep synth loop. An ascension breaks-down into an acoustic piano led section, introducing K Zie’s smooth vocals. The track builds energy at an exhilarating pace and bursts into a thunderous chorus featuring explosive pitch modulating melodies and hard grooves. Whilst the instrumental production softens up, the vocals are given space to shine, accompanied by a minimalistic piano arrangement and dreamy, swishing effects, whilst adding some rap inspirations to give colour to the stylistic mix. Backclash’s production revs up the dynamic levels once again, reaching a sub by drop with K Zie’s vocals filling up the background, directing the single towards its conclusion. The added vocals on this project truly offer a perfect addition to ‘Sugar Daddy’s’ instrumental counterpart, which is also available in stores.

‘Sugar Daddy’ is being released by the US based, eclectic label, Global Dance Records. Establishing itself within a wide range of genres including EDM, House, Electro, Trance, Progressive, Breakbeat, Dubstep, and Trap, Global Dance Records holds a multi-national roster of up and coming DJs and producers from: Africa, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, India, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, UK, and USA. Backclash and K Zie have now joined the growing Global Dance Records family amongst names such as: Martian, Inner System, SO07, Tim G, Perpacity, Nina Van Hils, Y.A., J-Max, Deejayzer, EBS, Neurofunq, Xsteer, Anker, Alex Mechew, Andy Horizont, Deemitry, Ernest Deriabin, Perpacity, DJ Martini, Joe Matt, and Murazaki to name a few. With the level Backclash and K Zie have managed to reach with this single, one can only foresee the brightest of futures ahead of them.
