Balearic label NuNorthern Soul celebrates its 10th Anniversary with a Box Set release

A decade is a long time in music, but it feels less epic when the music in question is timeless, picturesque and immersive. Founded in London, run from Bali for a period, and now based in Ibiza, Phil Cooper’s NuNorthern Soul label has grown from humble roots to become one of the most popular outlets for Balearic music on the planet. To celebrate their 10th Anniversary of releasing sunset-ready treats and emotive slow-mo grooves, NuNorthern Soul release a very special limited edition vinyl box set, featuring 10 carefully selected Balearic stunners from Cooper’s prize catalogue. Ripe with blissful sun-soaked grooves, ‘NuNorthern Soul 10’ comes with acclaimed tracks and exclusive reworks from longstanding label talents such as B.J. Smith, Jim Baron (aka Ron Basejam) and Ragz Nordset, alongside Jon Tye (aka Captain Sunshine), the late Ryo Kawasaki, Torn Sail, George Koultalieris, My Friend Dario, JIM, Tambores En Benirras (aka DJ Gripper), Willie Graff, Andi Hanley, BEGIN and Sun Fanatics to enjoy.

The NuNorthern Soul label, founded in 2012 by DJ ‘Phat’ Phil Cooper, came off the back of the eclectic Sunday sessions and podcasts he had been running since the late 90s. It became an output for the eclectic, Balearic and sunset inspired music and has become one of the most respected boutique eclectic labels on the scene. Over the years, names such as Ragz Nordest, BJ Smith, Dos Palos, Mike Salta, My Friend Dario, Faint Waves and many more have brought their stunning laid-back vibes to the label.
