Baron (FR) Debuts on Human by Default with ‘Hilo’ EP

The two-track EP sees the French producer team fellow compatriot and frequent collaborator Dorian Craft

Riding a wave of international acclaim off the back of his latest hit single ‘My Machine’ on AZZUR Music at the end of 2023, esteemed French DJ/producer Baron (FR) now kickstarts the New Year as he means to go on, as he debuts on Human By Default with his majestic new EP, ‘Hilo’.

Out now via Bedouin’s long-standing imprint, the ‘Hilo’ EP sees Baron team up with fellow French producer and long-time collaborator Dorian Craft for their latest joint venture, as they deliver a two-track masterclass in dynamic, forward thinking electronic music of the very highest order.

The opener and title track ‘Hilo’ features vocals from ARKADYAN & P.Rivas, and is a beguiling mix of Latino and acid soundscapes. Rumbling basslines anchor dancers to the floor while the expressive vocals bring an exotic sense of soul that takes you into all new worlds. On the flip, ‘Paradigm’ dives deep into a richly melodic world that looks set douse dance floors in dreamy delight; it’s a track that suspends your senses next to deft pads and soft shakers and is another escapist gem from this pair.

With a slew of impressive career releases on the likes of One Tribe Records, Abracadabra, MoBlack, Monaberry and AZZUR (to name a few) Baron is an artist with a progressive and diverse musical influence ranging from Jazz, Afro House, Disco and everything in between. His extensive catalogue boasts with a unique musical style that’s been supported by some of the most respected tastemakers in the industry, including Pete Tong, Seth Troxler and Bedouin amongst others.
