Bedrock Records, the iconic forward thinking label run by John Digweed, will celebrate a major milestone with its first ever day party at XOYO London on 1st October.
Marking 25 years since the launch of the original Monthly London parties at Heaven, Bedrock is doing something extra special this year, with a daytime party at the renowned XOYO in London running from 3pm to 10pm. The party also coincides with John Digweed’s 1000th Transitions Radio show, and the event will be recorded for a future broadcast on the show.
“For this year’s Bedrock anniversary I wanted to do something completely different and throw a Sunday day into night party.” John Digweed explains. “Bedrock has held several events at XOYO in London and the venue is perfect with the basement for the full on clubbing experience and an upstairs area to socialise while still being part of the party. I am so proud of the loyal fans that have supported the night over so many years and share my vision of it all being about quality forward thinking music and positive vibes.“
It coincides with John’s 1000th Transitions worldwide radio show and the party will be recorded for a very special future broadcast.
Alongside this, John Digweed and studio partner Nick Muir also have a new EP coming out on 8th September teaming up with the prolific DJ & producer Franky Wah. ‘Tripchain’ is a cool driving groove, bolstered by trademark anthemic synths and percussion while ‘Scanalatura’ takes a slightly darker approach with deep hypnotic grooves and melodies.
Since the late 90’s Bedrock Records has been a firm fixture on the UK and world clubbing map with its legendary sold out Thursday night monthly parties starting at Heaven in London. The night hosted everyone from Laurent Garnier, Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Sasha, and Carl Cox to Rabbit in the Moons’ only ever UK live performance and every credible DJ at the time.
Over the years events have been held at fabric, Brixton Academy, Matter, MOS, E1, Fire, Electric Brixton, Warehouse Project and many more which spread to international Bedrock showcases and festivals across the world with events at ADE, BPM Mexico, Miami Music Week, and Exchange LA to name a few. Bedrock has always been about quality music and uniting like minded people on the dance floor.
Celebrating a huge milestone for Bedrock and its legendary label head John Digweed and a special guest, XOYO London is the place to be on 1st October.
