After a jam-packed 2018 of music, Zulu Records celebrated their 6th birthday in the game. They seem to have a knack of reaching new milestones on a regular basis and their latest track is no different. Spendogg’s 2019 remix of Stefano Sorge’s version of ‘Believe’ is their 150th release. The Brighton-based imprint have provided some of the freshest underground house music around on 150 different occasions and as you can imagine, they’re going in with a bang to celebrate.
First produced by Erick Morrillo, ‘Believe’ has been resurrected on several occasions since it’s birth, as Spendogg takes the wheel on remixing responsibilities to give it a new edge. It’s already clocked up support from Danny Howard, Tough Love, Max Vangelis, Thomas Gold and many more.
Delving into new sounds whilst also maintaining the nostalgic elements of the original, Spendogg has combined several different elements to create a main room house banger. Backed by a pumping bass drum that takes full effect after the devastating drops, this is an undeniable floor-filler. With classic piano and key stabs scattered throughout, not to mention the classic vocal hook, this Ibiza-worthy record will have you thinking summer has come early.
The phrase ‘start as you mean to go on” couldn’t be more apt for Zulu Records, who have gone in with everything they’ve got on this one. 2019 is here.
