Ben Pearce releases emotive dance ballad ‘Read My Lips’

Star producer Ben Pearce joins the Perfect Havoc family with ‘Read My Lips’, an emotive indie-dance single featuring a melancholic vocal performance by the BBC Introducing-tipped, Luke Burr. Released on 19th May, Ben Pearce shows us once again that he’s a chameleon of a producer and can turn his hand to anything.

A name synonymous with the anthemic deep house cut ‘What I Might Do’, which was named Essential New Tune by Pete Tong and dominated dancefloors in 2012, Ben Pearce earned instant respect from the dance music fraternity with his debut release. The Manchester, UK talent was crowned DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough Producer in 2013, made a recurring resident for ANTS at Ushuaia Ibiza, and placed on remix duties for Depeche Mode and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man to name just two.

What’s most impressive about Ben Pearce is his versatility as a musician, his eclectic tastes and sophisticated approach to music making. With ease he segways through quirky and accessible dance music as heard on ‘Fireproof’ signed to Skint/BMG – played over 20 times on BBC Radio 1 – to experimental and spine-tingling bodies of work as heard on his ‘Ascension’ EP project via PIAS Recordings.

Joining Ben on ‘Read My Lips’ is a fast-rising talent, Luke Burr. Hailing from Essex, UK, Luke’s vocal range is incredible and his falsetto, outstanding, which is on full display on this new single. His 2019 version of Bobby Caldwell’s ‘What You Won’t Do For Love’ was featured on Love Island UK. 40,000 Shazam’s later, it shot straight to #1 on the UK Shazam charts the following morning and stayed in the Top 20 of the UK iTunes Charts for over six weeks. An outstanding live performer, Luke has toured the world acting as frontman with Rudimental, and toured his own headline show across the UK.

‘Read My Lips’ is another quality release for Perfect Havoc. Ben orchestrates a beautiful dance ballad featuring a string arrangement and solo piano that shows off his skillful production prowess.

Shortlisted for Best Independent Record Label at the 2023 Music Week Awards, Perfect Havoc’s niche of crossover dance alongside club-focused sounds has accumulated over 10 billion global streams and given rise to six UK Top 20 singles and multiple platinum, gold, and silver awards.

Keep an ear out for more Perfect Havoc releases in 2023 with cuts also from Just Kiddin, Ros-T, Varski, Oliver Nelson and Tobtok.
