Ben Pearce’s summer anthem, Fireproof, gets a Ten Ven remix

Riding a wave of success that has seen the track hyped by Pete Tong and Mistajam on BBC Radio 1, named Mixmag’s ‘Tune Of The Month’, and featured on some of Spotify’s biggest playlists, Ben Pearce’s return to the scene with ‘Fireproof’ puts him firmly in the driving seat of the summer’s hottest tune. Following the release of Ben’s own ‘VIP Club Mix’ last month, he now hands control to Ten Ven – one of dance music’s most mysterious and sought-after producers – for a disco-infused remix that is setting dancefloors on fire for all the right reasons.

Taking the chilled, summer vibes of the original mix, Ten Ven wastes no time in flipping the track on its head by fusing funky keys, ethereal synth work and Tayla’s showstopping vocals with a disco vibe that you can’t help but groove to. If Ben’s original mix was perfect for the poolside, Ten Ven takes the track into the club, ramps things up to eleven and makes sure the system is pushed to the limit with his inimitable electro-tinged take on the summer hit – he said:

“I’ve been a long-time fan of Ben’s work. He has been consistently putting out great records for a while now. I jumped at the chance to remix his new single. I loved the original and was able to put my own twist on the vocal as well as adding a heads-down dub for good measure.” – Ten Ven

For an established artist to push against expectations by carving a new direction for themselves with a fresh sound, the first single is always a watershed moment, but for Ben Pearce it has bred nothing but success. With the original mix receiving critical acclaim across the board for its forward-thinking song writing and earworm hook, it’s time to let the remixes do the business on the dance floor. As Ten Ven’s remix is prepped for release on 8^th July, Ben’s own summer is stacking up with shows at Night Tales in London, with MK in Ibiza, and a renewed energy that has rendered him Fireproof.
