Up-and-coming DJ and producer Ben Phipps is making waves within the electronic music scene and is rapidly becoming one of the most interesting names in the current Dance music scene. Having attended the reputable music production school, Dubspot, he has gone a long way and has taken his skills to a whole new level. Now splitting his time between New York City, Montreal, Toronto and his hometown Gothenburg in Sweden, Ben Phipps is sharing his music worldwide whilst collecting diverse influences which reflect in his style.

His latest project, a wonderful single by the name of ‘Fireproof’ has hit the shelves on the 15th of July, 2015 and is seeking to add more credits to his already rich resume. Released on Ben Phipps’ own imprint 14 & 9 Records, ‘Fireproof’ is the culmination of his highly-original blend of Pop and Dance with added House flavours.

Enticing melodies and arrangements are the driving force behind this project, whilst boasting some remarkable smooth vocals, credited to the amazing Dustin Paul. Distinctive acoustic instrumentals provide various fascinating highlights such as the orchestral string arrangements, drawing back to Ben’s upbringing in a family of Classical musicians; popping piano accompaniments and the exotic marimba intro. Added to these tasty components are some pumping, subby bass-lines and infectious House inspired drum beats, building up a solid rhythmic foundation. ‘Fireproof’ possesses an addicting groovy, uplifting feel, blessed with catchy elements that can certainly make it one of this summer’s favourite tunes.
