Up-and-coming Mexican DJ and producer Benito Bazar and Nigerian-American soul artist Tinuade have unveiled the official video for their collaborative single ‘Back To Life’.
The enchanting music video for ‘Back To Life’ was shot in Benito’s hometown of Mexico City the same week that the country’s six-month lockdown came to an end. Directed by Hanna Beširević and Benito himself, it documents two skater teens rekindling their love and making the most of post-lockdown freedom.
A 21st Century reimagining of the timeless Soul II Soul classic, Benito’s version has already gained radio support from BBC Radio 1 and Kiss Fresh. The producer said of the release: “‘Back To Life’ has always been one of my favourite tracks and seems more relevant now than ever, I wanted to give this some new life and my utmost respect to one of the best records of all time.” Additionally, Benito enlisted Italian producer Dukwa to remix Benito’s debut single.
The official video for ‘Back To Life’ is a captivating modern love story that captures a blossoming relationship in the Covid era.
