EX MYKAH - Berlin Lies

Pushing a potent cut of narcotic pop, Ex Mykah's debut single "Berlin Lies" explores the idea of losing oneself to the city's hedonistic allure. Couched in the sultry slink of Hip-Hop and R&B, the LA-based Columbian/Cuban-American artist gives us the first peek from his leftfield pop debut forthcoming on the London-based Kowloon Records (Mahdyar, Ian Chang, Tom Adams).

A busy working musician and hired gun for Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow), Ex Mykah's palette showcases a wide range of contemporary and classic influences where Kendrick Lamar and Frank Ocean occupy the same sonic space as Cream, Stevie Wonder, and Simple Minds. Examining his own nihilistic experimentation, "Berlin Lies" is about falling into a vortex of sex and drugs, losing your mind –  offering a glimpse into Ex Mykah's album debut which is an unflinching perspective that spotlights society's grim realities.
