‘Best of the Birdfeed’ Returns With Vol. 5 Compilation via Dirtybird Records

Dirtybird Records is back with the fifth installment of its Best of the Birdfeed compilation. Nearing their 250th Birdfeed release, Best of the Birdfeed Vol. 5 celebrates almost 10 years of their Birdfeed website and subscription service, which offers exclusive releases, event and merch discounts, games and rewards, and is the hub for all things Dirtybird.

Birdfeed has become an incubator for international house and techno talent, with Vol. 5 featuring artists hailing from Australia, Brazil, France, Indonesia, Mexico, Scotland, and more. The compilation kicks off with Vänel’s rhythmic shaker ‘Can’t Believe It’, smoothly coasting into the tribal tones of Demmis’ ‘Tribe On The Florest’ and the kitschy melodies of Francesco V’s ‘Mr What’. Moving into the funky upticks of Johnny Deep’s ‘Cup Cakes’ and syncopated synths scattered throughout Dave Bregoli’s ‘Alphabet Mafia’, Vol. 5 is an exciting introduction to the next generation of Birdfeed talent. The compilation progresses with the snappy charm of L.R.S’ ‘Get Fucked Up’ and bouncy breaks of Errio Indra’s ’Kill It With Da’, before closing with Fifths’ twisting roller ‘Every Night’.

Vol. 5 is a charcuterie of the diverse sounds that continue to emerge from the sub label, offering a vibrant taste of underground electronic genres like minimal techno, tribal house, funk, and deep tech. The sub label is known to develop artists from newcomers to main label stars, with past Birdfeed alum including new flock favorites like Dillon Marinez, Luke Andy, Andrea Giudice, and LUCATI. Similar to previous volumes, the latest edition of Best of the Birdfeed showcases the smorgasbord of talent rising under Dirtybird’s curation.

For nearly a decade, Birdfeed has evolved into Dirtybird’s online playground for artists and fans alike. Birdfeed also caters to the label’s flock fanbase, offering subscribers unparalleled access to unreleased tracks, events, games, and giveaways, events, special offers like merch and ticket discounts, and more.

Dirtybird invites the flock to enjoy the next generation of up-and-coming talent from the nest with the Best of the Birdfeed Vol. 5 compilation out now and sign up for Birdfeed here.
