Launched in 2013, The Soundgarden label was the culmination of a concept that pioneering DJ, Nick Warren had been cultivating for many years. Initially a bi-monthly show on the mighty Frisky Radio, it showcased a cross-section sounds that the passionate DJ champions in his club sets and beyond. The label quickly established itself as a strong force in the Progressive scene with stand out cuts from Tantsui, Inhmost and more recently, Nichols.

Debuting in Ibiza in 2015, The Soundgarden events has now become a touring brand which brings that pioneering spirit with it, such that Ibiza Spotlight singled them out as one of the “Newcomer Parties Who Came and Conquered”. And with annual events at Miami Winter Music Conference, Off-Sonar, Amsterdam Dance Event and Argentina among others, The Soundgarden is only just getting started.

On the label side, The Soundgarden begin their 2018 season with a powerful 4-tracker EP from Sebastian Busto entitled Between Us, due for release on January 26th. Opening with the emotional deep houser, ‘The Life We Deserve’ Sebastian paints an elegant audio scene perfectly placing synth sweeps, instrumentation and female vocal ad libs on a percussive bed of live drums. Somewhat tougher and more tribal, Genetics takes a more visceral path before pads and ethereal vocals envelop the listener in a melancholy blanket of hope. Title track, Between Us is a quality cut. Deep and emotional in equal measures, its power comes from its simplicity. Rounding out the pack is Amniotic, a brilliantly melodic sunrise track we will no doubt hear all summer long.
