Andromo and Delia Ros are two producers making their Superfreq label debut with a set of tasty tracks of shimmery, dubbed out deep techno.
Vancouver based Andromo has previously released on labels such as Chris Fortier’s Fade Records, Bedrock and Viva Recordings, and here he links with Mexican producer Delia Ros from the likes of Akbal Music, Harvibal and Mexa. Together they showcase their forward-looking techno sound, one that is a perfect for this revered label.
Up first from this talented pair is the brilliant ‘Beyond the Sun,’ a spritely and melodic offering, and the sort of spaced out track that really encourages you to cast your mind free. The drums are icy and infectious, the chords warm and the tempo perfectly designed so as to carry you away on the hypnotic groove.
Then comes the equally essential ‘Be Patient (Andromo Mix), a darker and more heads down affair, but with cinematic pads and a real sense of space in the track. The kinetic drums are stripped back but dynamic and the sound designs are filled with detail. This is a tasteful track for those more characterful and intimate dancefloors.
Both of these cuts capture the imagination and mark a fine Superfreq debut from both artists.
