Oblack label founders Los Pastores pair up with Spain’s Juliche Hernandez for two tracks featuring a remix from Holic Trax founder Tomoki Tamura.
Real names Nacho and Snna, Los Pastores have been building their Oblack imprint for two years, releasing wax from the likes of Tuccillo, Phil Weeks, Neverdogs, Yaya and Justin Harris. Juliche Hernandez, known for releases on Fantastic Friends, System2 and Time Has Changed, now joins the brothers in the studio for a unique release fusing both their artistic styles.
From the off, ‘Bigger Easy’ employs whirring synths and throbbing bass as a heady rhythm runs from start to finish. ‘Get Back’ then focuses on rolling percussion as tantalising melodies work their magic, before renowned Japanese producer Tomoki Tamura strips the production back, chopping up the vocals as mesmerising atmospherics and crunchy percussion come into effect.
Los Pastores & Juliche Hernandez ‘Bigger Easy EP’ drops on Oblack on 21st November 2016.
