Fresh off the back of their eccentric video release of their single ‘Bike Engine’, Jacob Plant and Stylo G’s fiery dancehall anthem has received a grooving remix from revered British DJ, Doorly.
Since it’s release, the single has gained massive support across Radio 1, with Nick Grimshaw, Annie Mac and Huw Stephens to name a few. ‘Bike Engine’ has amassed over 400,000 Spotify Streams, over 25k Shazams so far and the accompanying music video has already received 150,000 views.
With 2 Essential Mixes, multiple Beatport and Traxsource Number Ones, acclaimed releases on Hot Creations and Dirtybird all already under his belt, Doorly has positioned himself as a versatile, in-demand producer. Away from the studio, Doorly has played at illustrious venues and festivals all over the world, including Ministry of Sound, Sankeys Ibiza, SXSW and Creamfields.
Doorly’s ‘Bike Engine’ rework moves away from the original almost entirely. Keeping Stylo G’s vocal hook, the remix is filled with smooth piano chords, additional percussive elements and a grooving bassline, aimed to bow out the summer.
