Bilbao BBK Live completes 2018 lineup

Bilbao BBK Live festival completes its 2018 lineup with a spectacular selection of new additions.Florence + The Machine, Childish Gambino, Cigarettes After Sex, Friendly Fires, Mount Kimbie, Porches and Fat White Family are amongst an impressive array of acts announced today. All these and more are set to join previously announced acts including The xx, Gorillaz, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, alt-J, David Byrne, The Chemical Brothers, Modeselektor, Young Fathers, Avalon Emersonand more on Bilbao’s Kobetamendi Mountain in the heart of the Basque Country, from 12-14 July 2018.

The festival presents its complete daily line-up today and announces it has frozen the price of its weekend pass at 135€ until 6th March, with prices rising to €155 from 7th March onwards.

Bilbao BBK Live continues adding leading artists to its billing as Florence + The Machine are confirmed as the opening night headliner. GRAMMY-nominated Childish Gambino also makes an exclusive appearance, in what is one of only two scheduled European performances this year.

Texas group Cigarettes After Sex will be performing their recently released début album at BBK Live 2018 and Friendly Fires, the band that exploded onto the scene in 2008 with their self-titled début album, will return to the main stage in what is sure to be a festival highlight.

New additions announced today also include Hot Chip with their brand new show ‘Hot Chip Megamix’, British duo Mount Kimbie, and former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes whose new solo album 'World's Strongest Man' is set to drop this May. Porches, the primary project of New York-based songwriter Aaron Maine, indie rock band Fat White Family, experimental pop duo Let's Eat Grandma, and Hamburg's Meute also star. 

As always BBK Live will also showcase the best of the Spanish music scene, including María Arnal i Marcel Bagés, Bad Gyal, Iseo & Dodosound, Neuman, Bejo, Morga, Edu Ostos, Joe La Reina, Las Odio, Rural Zombies and many more.

The new acts announced today an already impressive roster of talent for Bilbao BBK Live 2018, includingGorillaz, The xx, The Chemical Brothers, Alt-j, David Byrne, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Benjamine Clementine, James, Jungle, Parquet Courts, Temples, Young Fathers and many more.

In addition, Basoa, the electronic component of Bilbao BBK Live, will once again play host to uninterrupted parties from sunset to sunrise from the genre's most acclaimed underground headliners.Modeselektor, Hunee, John Talabot, Ben UFO, Young Marco, Optimo, Prosumer, Avalon Emmerson, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Anthony Naples and more will all perform in the atmospheric woodland complete with  Basoa’s exceptional sound system.
