Biscits Nods to Sound System Culture on Ragga-Tinged UK House Single “Jungle” on Insomniac Records

Southampton’s own Biscits returns to Insomniac Records with his latest single “Jungle,” releasing on November 1. Known for his punchy, genre-defining tech house productions, Biscits takes a bold step into darker, bass-driven territory on his latest offering.

Jungle” melds the grit of UK garage with sound system culture, centered around a hypnotic ragga-inspired vocal loop. The skittering basslines, shuffling drums, and dub-heavy breakdown amplify its underground flavor, revealing an evolution in Biscits’ sound that still maintains the raw energy that’s made him a standout name in electronic music.

His new solo outing follows the success of his recent Insomniac Records collaboration with TOBEHONEST, “I Am The One,” which clocked in over 2 million streams to date, and gained airplay on KISS FM UK, Radio FG, and more. With “Jungle,Biscits ventures into new sonic realms, delivering what he describes as “a dub/garage/jungle-inspired track” created specifically for a high-profile festival set earlier this year. This exploration into new genres underscores his creative versatility while paying homage to his roots in UK club culture.

Throughout his career, Biscits has earned his stripes as a highly sought-after remixer, having reworked tracks for major artists like Ed Sheeran, Moby, and Becky Hill. His 2022 debut album ‘Without U’ featured collaborations with top-tier talents such as Karen Harding, Goodboys, and Sonny Fodera. Biscits has been championed by heavyweights like Diplo on Sirius XM and Arielle Free on BBC Radio 1, solidifying his presence on global airwaves.

Sharing stages with the likes of Gorgon City, FISHER, and Chris Lake, Biscits has become a staple at globally renowned events, including EDC Las Vegas, Coachella, Reading & Leeds, and Tomorrowland. Regular appearances at high-profile festivals and clubs have only bolstered his reputation as a crowd favorite, including recent sets at CRSSD Fest, Splash House, and Day Trip. Biscits is set to close out the year with upcoming performances at London’s Night Tales, Coda in Toronto, and Countdown NYE in Southern California.

With “Jungle,” Biscits proves once again that he’s not content to rest on past achievements. As one of the fastest-rising talents in the scene, he continues to push boundaries while keeping his sound firmly fixed on the pulse of the underground.
