UK house aficionado Biscits returns to Insomniac Records with his latest concoction, a certified peak-time tech house number taking the form of “Don’t Stop.”
A name that’s become glued to the top of the Beatport charts in recent years, Biscits boasts a versatile approach to house that crosses the spectrum from soulful and melodic to heavier, tech-fueled grooves. On his latest offering “Don’t Stop,” he indicates he has something a little more muscular and immediate in mind. A secret weapon that’s been blowing up his sets of late, the highly sought-after ID is a crowd-approved track that he reaches for when it’s time to kick the energy up a notch.
Initial impressions can be deceiving with “Don’t Stop.” Easing into the frame with sultry Spanish guitar licks and a seductive R&B vocal, it suggests a more affair. However, a quick escalation in energy arrives once the chunky bass plucks, shuffling drum arrangements and a rippling synth lead come together to tickle all the right pleasure points. It’s an infectious and highly effective record destined to prove a staple during the upcoming festival season.
Biscits confirms the single was engineered with the express intention of rocking festival floors, and it has been getting the job done. “I made this record while I was in Australia. I wanted a big festival banger to play out in my sets and this was the end result. Everyone goes crazy whenever I play it. The funniest thing is that the single isn’t even out yet, and everyone sings it back to me already.”
On the back of his debut artist album ‘Without U,’ the Southampton native has been trekking across Canada and the States, currently underway on the North American ‘IN THE LOOP’ tour alongside Grammy-nominated songwriting and production duo Goodboys—who previously graced the Insomniac imprint with their anthemic “This Feeling” collab alongside international sensation Vintage Culture—including upcoming stops at Nova in San Diego and Academy LA. With a recent sold-out show in New York, “Don’t Stop” made its claim as a memorable highlight from his performance. Locked for a highly anticipated appearance at the renowned EDC Las Vegas in May, it’s abundantly clear that Biscits has the perfect selection queued up to elevate his set on the Insomniac Records hosted stage to the next level.
