Blonde ft. Alex Newell – All Cried Out (Don Diablo Remix)

BLONDE translated their underground acclaim into mainstream awareness when their single ‘I Loved You’ shot into the charts at #7.With the track still maintaining a Top 40 chart position over two months later, BLONDE can now announce that their follow-up ‘All Cried Out’ will be released on May 3rd on FFRR.

Capturing a heightened take on the scintillating summer vibes that made ‘I Loved You’ so popular, ‘All Cried Out’ underlines BLONDE’s ability to blend 90s house influences into contemporary crossover dance. BLONDE – Bristol duo Adam Englefeld and Jacob Manson – are joined on ‘All Cried Out’ by American guest vocalist Alex Newell who is signed to Atlantic Records in the States.

The pair first met online through Englefield’s influential and still growing YouTube channel Eton Messy which can boast almost 300,000 subscribers and over 56 million video views. The first track they released, the leftfield house of ‘Talk To You’, made an immediate impression even if at that point the pair had never met in person.

Their first two tracks for FFRR – ‘Foolish’ and ‘Higher Ground’ – scored extensive radio play as well as #1 at HypeM and over 6 million plays at SoundCloud. The duo also soundtracked last summer with renowned festival sets at Glastonbury, Wireless, Global Gathering, Secret Garden Party and Creamfields. They then completed a sold-out nationwide Eton Messy tour in the autumn.

The success of ‘I Loved You’ saw BLONDE ascend to the next level, helped in part by substantial support at Radio 1 (Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, Phil & Alice, B. Traits, Pete Tong, Toddla T, Zane Lowe and more) and 1Xtra (including MistaJam, Trevor Nelson, Charlie Sloth and Sarah-Jane Crawford). The track was also playlisted at Kiss, Kiss Fresh, Capital and Capital Xtra.

Ahead of the release of ‘All Cried Out’, BLONDE will play their debut live band show at Oslo in London on February 26th. They commented: “We’ve both played in bands from an early age and our ambition has always been to go back to our roots and perform our music live as much as possible. We love DJing but we’re really excited about taking our music live as it gives us an opportunity to really connect with our audience.”
