Ferry Corsten - Blueprint Remixed

Following the success of last year’s ‘Blueprint’ concept album, Ferry Corsten returns with ‘Blueprint Remixed’, to breathe new life into ‘Blueprint’ and the full length’s protagonist, Vee. Ferry continues to broaden the appeal of the original, pursuing his mantra of creating a concept ‘greater than the sum of its parts’ by enlisting the help of producers from both within Ferry’s world and outside, to push this diverse body of music into new realms, with each new remix spreading the message of Blueprint into different territories and possibilities.

Ferry is joined on the album by a diverse roster of talent, from Solis & Sean Truby and Saad Ayub, whose styles share similarities but nonetheless unmistakably bear resemblance to the remixers original sounds, to artists such as Duncan La Barre, who provides an acoustic, piano led version of ‘Your Face’ that teems the ivory tones with the original vocal, to create a stripped-back composition that is a complete departure from the original. Completing the line-up is Funkagenda, DIM3NSION, Gai Barone, Heatbeat, Stephen Kirkwood, Ciaran McCauley, Stoneface & Terminal, Novre and Eskai & SNR present Elevven, whose remixes add elements of progressive, tribal and pop, as well as darker and lighter tones to the original album, painting the picture of the story in different lights and ensuring the story of Blueprint casts its net even further. Ferry himself provides new edits of a number of tracks on the album, in the form of Ferry’s Fix’s, with each new version taking less dancefloor focused compositions and turning them into workable, main room primed anthems.

After drafting in House of Cards screenwriter David H Miller and Hollywood actor Campbell Scott (of The Amazing Spiderman fame), Ferry has drawn on the expertise of an array of visionaries from a wide spectrum since the outset, to join in his passion to turn his vision for ‘Blueprint’ into a reality. With ‘Blueprint Remixed’, premiered on Corsten’s Countdown, Ferry continues to draft in some of dance music’s most prodigious talents, to rework the story of ‘Blueprint’ and make sure it’s message continues to be spread far and wide. If you missed out the first time, be sure not to make the same mistake again when the remix album is released, 9th February via Flashover Recordings.
