Borgore, the apocalyptically popular EDM DJ, has been announced as the headliner on the popular Sonic dance stage at this year’s Glastonbury festival on Friday 26th June. Sharing the stage across the 3 days with the likes of Leftfield, Gorgon City, Grandmaster Flash and Krept & Konan, the Israeli-born producer will be sure to provide the onslaught of audio/visual debauchery that his fans have become accustomed to.
Borgore is the infamous moniker of Tel Aviv-born producer and provocateur Asaf Borger. Throughout the years, Borgore has shattered barriers between genres, blurring the lines between electro house, trap and dubstep to create his signature sound. The founder of Buygore Records, last year saw the release of his first full-length album #NEWGOREORDER, a tongue-in-cheek manifesto that quickly became a viral sensation. With his iconic gift for showmanship and spectacle, cheeky lyrics and raucous live performances, Borgore has transcended from internet stardom to iconic stature.
His performance at Glastonbury comes soon after his recent release with Addison, “School Daze” which is out now on Armin van Buuren’s Armada imprint. A perfect tune for the summer, the vocals glaze over the synths, slowly leading towards the vigorous and heart-stopping peak that Borgore’s name is now synonymous with.
