Borgore – Legend EP

Following a behind-the-scenes look featured exclusively on RollingStone.com last week, Israeli DJ/producer/vocalist Borgore has today unveiled the official music video for his newest single “Legend” featured on the upcoming ‘Legend’ EP out June 25 on his own independent imprint Buygore. The “Legend” video, featured on RollingStone.com, makes its worldwide debut today and sees Borgore taking on the roll of an 80’s hair metal icon complete with a 10-year-old son—played by up-and-coming Hollywood actor Elliott Moore—a houseful of groupies and a homemade rocket ship. Fans who pre-order the special edition “Legend” shirts and gear will automatically receive a free download of the LEGEND EP in full.

Conceived by Borgore himself and director by Christian Lamb—who also directed Borgore’s now infamous and hugely successful “Decisions” video featuring Miley Cyrus—the “Legend” video follows the story of Borgore’s on-screen son in his quest to become a legend. The video takes Borgore’s trademark debauchedness to a new extreme featuring a rowdy romp in Hollywood, scantily clad girls, a pool party surrounded by empty bottles and last night’s memories and a catastrophic rocket launch.

“I tried to take what is a literal meaning of legend, which is just drinking and doing stupid s**t, and translating it into a different story so it’s actually a kid,” Borgore says of the video. “He drinks, like, protein shakes and milk, things that kids think are gonna make them stronger. This kid just wants to be a legend.”

The lead track “Legend” features Borgore on vocal duties with an instantly addictive chorus. The Legend EP also includes tracks “That Lean” (http://goo.gl/ipHje), a co-production and duet with up-and-coming, new schoolhouse phenomenon Carnage with dance-music siren Dev on vocals; an instrumental banger with “Sonata In F Major” (http://bit.ly/141GvId); and “Kill Them All,” an anthem featuring vocals from Israeli pop star and longtime Borgore friend Adi Ulmansky.

Hailing from Israel via London and now based in Los Angeles, Borgore this year is unleashing a series of EPs with the Legend EP as the first official release in the collection with the follow-up out later this year. The EPs showcase Borgore’s talents as a songwriter and producer and will launch him further atop the upper echelon of bass and electronic music.

Earlier this year, Borgore made impact with his main stage performance at Ultra Music Festival. Borgore is currently on his #Turntlife Tour, which includes high-profile performances at this year’s premier music festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival Chicago (where he performed on the main stage and headlined the bass stage), Orion Music + More, Free Press Summer Festival, Boonstock Music & Arts Festival and more to be announced soon. His other recent releases include the Carnage & Borgore track “Incredible” out now on Spinnin Records, which hit #1 on Beatport and quickly became a staple this Miami season; the Turn Up EP on his own independent imprint Buygore Records; and his smash hit “Deception” featuring Cedric Gervais out now on Spinnin Records.
