BPM 2015 Offers Exciting Opportunity for New Talent
BPM – the world’s biggest DJ and Electronic Music Production Event – will offer young and upcoming DJs a chance to showcase their skills, as the popular PLAY @ BPM stage returns for this year’s show, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 12-14 September 2015.
The stage, sponsored this year by dB Technologies, will be located at the entrance to BPM and will showcase upcoming DJs playing music from all genres, in a series of 30-minute sets that will run throughout the show’s three-day duration. Open to all DJs, the stage will give emerging talent a unique chance to perform for a crowd of electronic music enthusiasts at an event tailored to the industry.
To apply to play on the PLAY @ BPM stage, DJs can email [email protected] with their name, contact details, a brief bio (detailing their DJ career/aspirations) and a link to their best demo mix. This mix can be any style or genre, but an approximate length of 30-minutes is recommended. Applicants should also include a good-quality image of themselves – for use on the BPM website should their application be successful.
The deadline for applications is Monday 17 August. Regretfully, due to this feature’s popularity and the limited number of slots, not every DJ who applies can be selected to perform. DJs should also be aware that this is a showcase; those selected to play will still need a BPM ticket in order to visit the exhibition, education sessions, and other performance areas.
