Brobot’s Junior Sanchez joins up with Shadow Child and Kry Wolf’s Food Music to deliver his ‘Brain EP’, featuring a remix from Lobster Boy duo Mak & Pasteman.
Since the age of 15 New Jersey’s Junior Sanchez was already DJing in underground clubs around NYC and honing his craft as a producer. He’s now built up a solid discography working with respected labels like Circus, Nervous, Robsoul and his own Brobot Recordings, which he started up in 2013. Sanchez joins the Food Music family here though, following releases from the likes of David Keno, Vangelis Kostoxenakis and Mak & Pasteman who jump on remix duties.
‘Brain Game’ leads with a slick percussive groove immersed with weaving synth waves before an infectious vocal flutter and sweeping bass line takes centre stage in ‘Nasty Gruve’.
‘Shine Through The Dark’ follows, offering perplexing undulant pads, layered with a tight-knit drum sequence before Mak & Pasteman’s remix of ‘Nasty Gruve’ rounds things off with bumpy drums, windings oscillations and fluid, pulsating stabs.
Junior Sanchez ‘Brain EP’ is out on Food Music on 19th October 2018.
