Brazilian duo BadComppany are making their label debut with their two-track LINK EP out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary.
A dynamic twofer, LINK is a spirited statement piece that introduces BadComppany’s joint sound to the flock. ‘Girls In Green’ unrolls with bouncy tech-forward arpeggiations while ‘That Good’ instantly raises alarm bells with its cheeky vocal chops and playful patterns. The resulting 8 minutes are an intriguing duality of off-kilter excitement and a familiar warmth befitting the Dirtybird catalog.
Dirtybird’s bodacious basslines and hypnotic rhythms have long drawn rising producers from Brazil, creating a natural home for the country’s most forward-thinking talent. After years of championing acts like Bruno Furlan, Cour T., and DJ Glen, the label curated their Taste Of Brazil compilation last year to further spotlight the bridging sound of Brazilian house and techno. Dirtybird will continue to broaden its footprint in Brazil later this year with an upcoming tour throughout the region.
BadComppany is the Brazilian duo of hip-hop veteran DJ Zeu and young producer Raphael Cordoso. They launched the project in 2024 with their debut single ‘Too Mush Baby’ via Cour T.’s Colapso. Continuing to garner attention with their innovative blend of traditional hip-hop and modern electronic music, LINK marks BadComppany’s debut on Dirtybird.
