BREAKTHROUGH ARTISTS JOIN THE T IN THE PARK LINE-UP

With the arrival of T in the Park at Strathallan Castle just around the corner, festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager have added a fresh wave of hotly-tipped acts to this year’s bill.

BDY_PRTS, Cassels, Clubs., Dead Ceremony, Dive In, Love Nor Money, Man of Moon, Miaoux Miaoux, Monogram, Neon Waltz, Peur, Pinact, RedFaces, Stillhound, SYKES, The Xcerts, TONGUES, Vukovi and Yr Eira have today been announced for the BBC Introducing Stage. There’s just over three weeks to go until this year’s festival gets underway at its brand new home and anticipation is rapidly building as T in the Park prepares to make its Strathallan Castle debut over 10th-12th July 2015.

Caithness band Neon Waltz penned a deal with Atlantic Records earlier this year after storming the Scottish circuit – selling out shows including King Tut’s as part of Tenement Trail in 2014, impressing fans and critics alike. Releasing their debut First Light earlier this year after locking themselves away in a croft for months of intense writing, the band celebrated a top 10 spot in the Official Vinyl Album Chart alongside records from the legendary Pink Floyd and The Stone Roses.

First playing T in the Park in 2011, The Xcerts return to the BBC Introducing Stage once again, this time to headline on the Saturday night. Originally forming in Aberdeen, the four piece rock outfit have supported bands including Brand New and Manchester Orchestra in recent years, demanding the crowd’s attention with their infectious energy and sound.

Since they first made their T in the Park debut on the T Break Stage in 2012, Vukovi have gone from strength to strength, attracting plaudits from the likes of Kerrang! and Clash for their anthemic rock. Dive In released their EP Eighteen – packed with sparkling synths and huge hooks – last month, and are sure to get the crowd going with their big pop choruses and soaring vocals.

Also appearing will be Kent’s Dead Ceremony, who have been featured as Record of the Week by BBC Introducing in Kent three times, Oxfordshire brothers Cassels (who combine massive slabs of grunge riffing with a punk aesthetic and socially charged lyrics), Sheffield four-piece RedFaces and South London indie, pop band SYKES. Yr Eira have exploded onto the Welsh music scene in the past year and will also take to the stage, as will Man of Moon, who were selected as NME’s Buzz Band of the Week last month.

Glasgow’s music scene will be represented through the likes of the hypercolour indie dance pop of producer Miaoux Miaoux, Pinact, who combine experimental, turn-it-up-to-11 guitar sounds with outstanding melodic awareness, Monogram who made an impressive debut at King Tut’s earlier this year, alt-pop duo BDY_PRTS and TONGUES who will bring their mega synths, sub beats and soaring vocoders to T in the Park. Also on the bill are Leicester’s hotly tipped Clubs., Love Nor Money – an alternative pop trio combining soulful harmonies with underground UK beats and trash guitar –  roaring, alternative rockers Peur and Stillhound who mix avant-pop with electro sounds.
