Brighton’s Patterns announces summer lineups…
Brighton’s Patterns has revealed the third quarter of programming for 2016 including a day-to-night party celebrating 15 Years of Secretsundaze in July and other club highlights including Marshall Jefferson, Objekt, Jayda G, Luke Vibert, Tom Trago, Goldie, Daniele Baldelli and Horse Meat Disco…
Kicking Q3 off to huge effect on Saturday 2nd July is Chicago house legend Marshall Jefferson who is joined by Canadian DJ, Producer and Freakout Cult label boss, Jayda G. Following up on Saturday 16th July Memory Box are bringing Luke Vibert, Nightmares on Wax to Patterns. On Saturday 30th July join Giles Smith and James Priestley as they bring one of Berlin’s most respected DJs and Panorama Bar resident Steffi to celebrate 15 years of Secretsundaze, showcasing the day-to -night vibe they are famous for in a mammoth 4pm – 4am party.
Cosmic Disco hero Daniele Baldelli will make his debut at the venue on Saturday 13th August, joined by Psychemagik and Beach Freaks. This Italo legend is as busy now as he was in the heyday of Disco throughout the late ‘70s and early 80’s. On Friday 19th August Metalheadz front man and true pioneer Goldie, touches down in Brighton to recreate music history. Prepare for a sonic journey through the UK’s history of sound system culture, from a true drum and bass and jungle pioneer who was instrumental in taking the UK underground into an international movement.
On Friday 2nd September Patterns welcomes multi-instrumentalist and one of drum and bass’s true innovators LTJ Bukem, for a very special DJ set. His style pays homage to the Detroit-based sound of early techno but incorporates wider influences including 1970s era jazz fusion and huge doses of creativity in his productions and DJ sets – not to be missed! Patterns are also hosting a stage at Boundary Festival on Saturday 17th September (line up to be announced imminently) and will be bringing the festival revelry back to Patterns with an after-party joined by Tom Trago, Josey Rabelle and Donga.
The Horse Meat Disco boys are back on Saturday 24th September for their residency with guests Nick The Record and Balearic Mike and then Objekt will be closing off Q3 with his unique blend of heady dubstep-tinged techno along with Zallogut on Friday 30th September.
Patterns’ Q3 LIVE announcements include hotly tipped Sudanese/American MC and Producer Oddisee on Friday July 1st, art-rocker Kiran Leonard (Moshi Moshi) on Tuesday 23rd August. NYC’s enigmatic and hugely influential duo Silver Apples (formed in 1967) touch down in Brighton to deliver their trademark rhythms, electronically generated melodies and surreal cacophony of sound on Saturday 24th September.
