Seven dates and almost 40 artists

Brunch-In the City kick starts on March 12th with a house regular headliner, Maceo Plex, one of today's most acclaimed producers currently working on a new album titled Solar – named after his son—, the follow-up to theJourney to Solar EP released in 2016. He will be accompanied by Joy Orbison's garage-house, a sound combining elements of house, two- step, jungle, techno and dubstep that has gained momentum since the release of his first single "Hyph Mngo" in 2009. Dekmantel Soundsystem will open the day. A project born from the festival of the same name, it is made up of Thomas and Casper, who dig deep into their record cases to deliver the most eclectic sessions, from African music to house.

March 26th will be curated by the duet Mind Against, a musical society that draws on the roots of IDM, house and techno. Alessandro and Federico Fognini will close the day with their usual psychedelic and 80's beats. Max Cooper's live performances precede him. The artist is known for his multi-sensory experiences created through emotional experimentation on the dancefloor, artistic sound design and musical artefacts. Kiasmos, the duo formed by Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen, will just be represented by the second one as long as it will be a dj set. As the spearhead of 21st century's experimental electronics and usual live performers, it is also interesting to see the DJing. Del Corral will open with his mix of techno, electro, house and downtempo.

On April 4th Brunch-In the City will open with a Kompakt showcase. First off is the b2b between label boss Michael Mayer and Patrice Bäumel. Mayer remains one of Germany's leading celebrities in dance music. Bäumel, on the other hand, infuses his dj sets with an infectious energy and sense of adventure, creating a sound that satisfies both mind and body. He calls it "techno music for adults". The Field, aka Axel Willner, will open for them. In 2003, Willner used Buzz, music oftware still common today, to make ambient techno. Matías Aguayo's percussion will come before them. The capo of the celebrated Cómeme label takes advantage of his trips to add an international touch to his music. Fango, a virtuoso perfectionist obsessed with mixing 'bassdrums', recordings and sample percussion will open the day.

On April 23th Brunch-In the City will celebrate Sant Jordi with the Brooklyn-based duo Bedouin. Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe fuse electronics with Middle East sounds, resulting in the much acclaimed 'desert sound'. El Guincho, who has just released his avant- garde third album Hiperasia, will perform before them. The king of Western tropicalism has taken a turn to give us an indescribable, but certainly darker, genre in which a vocoder camouflages his voice over 8bit beats.  Nico Stojan, a Berlin native DJ and a former resident of the legendary Bar25, will open the day. His bright house is perfect to inaugurate another Sunday at Poble Espanyol's Plaza Mayor.

In May Brunch-In the City opens on Sunday 14th with a Correspondant showcase. The label's boss, Jennifer Cardini, will do a b2b set with Roman Flügel. After more than a decade dedicated to building an enviable reputation in Paris' clubs, Cardini has become one of the most relevant international artists. Flügel – active since the early 1990s – is a true chameleon that combines endless styles in his sessions, from ambient / idm to house and leftfield. Before them comes the live performance of Red Axes – two friends of psychedelic machines united by an unconditional passion for music- and São Paulo-born musician Abrão Levin. Borusiade will open the day. In 2002 she moved from her native Bucharest to Berlin to become one of the few female Djs in the city.

May 28th will open with Black Coffee. His meteoric rise has placed him among the masters of deep house and in the headlines of some of the world's best festivals. His latest EP The Journey Continues confirms his position.Jeremy Underground, a passionate vinyl collector and black music lover, will perform before him. A rare avis, he has become one of today's most acclaimed DJs without producing music. The Barcelona-based collective MK Ultra formed by Render, Veski and Vertical will open the day with a six-hand b2b session.

Brunch-In the City will close the season on June 11th with luxury guest Motor City Drum Ensemble. Danilo Plessow's essential Raw Cuts and masterful disco and house lessons have turned him into the standard bearer of soulful dance music. Peggy Gou will perform before him with music inspired by J Dilla, Patrick Cowley, Yellow Magic Orchestra and Dj Sotofett, among others. Born in South Korea and a Berlin DJ resident, she released her first Ep in 2016 on Radio Slave's label Rekids. Rubén González, the producer behind the Ruzztic project, will open for these heavyweights.
