BYNON & Bishøp - BYNON & Bishøp – Hey Hey

With June comes the official start of summer, and BYNON & Bishøp’s new collaboration ‘Hey Hey’ looks set to be one of this year’s first summer anthems. Following on from his last collaboration with Project 46 – ‘Eyes,’ BYNON takes here a new direction, joined in his effort by vocalist and DJ Bishøp for his return to Ultra.

A subtle track by nature, ‘Hey Hey’ flourishes in its minimalism, holding space open to allow reverb to flow between its seams. Bishøp’s sultry vocal gives BYNON’s club-ready stylings an instant crossover appeal that feels wholly organic, floating over the top of his solid percussion, underlying synths and solitary piano tones. The result is an airy, feel good anthem perfect for summer evenings that’s guaranteed to be heard ringing out at this year’s key summer festivals.

Of Welsh descent but raised in British Columbia, BYNON (formally known as Richard Beynon) has become a firm favourite in the electronic music scene, already using his classically-trained composition skills in releases for the likes of Spinnin’, Revealed, Strictly Rhythm and Ultra. His latest collaboration with Dannic – “Golden Hearts” via Revealed reached the Top 10 and spent over 8 weeks on the charts.

DJ and singer Bishøp herself is no stranger to the world of dance music – her last collaboration with Latroit, “Loving Every Minute” (Kontor/Armada) debuted #5 on the UK Buzz Chart and received support from the likes of Cool Cuts, The Magician, Oakenfold and Pete Tong. A name to watch in the next months to come as she has great collaborations on the way with Tiesto, Dr. Fresch, filous and Elephante.

‘Hey Hey’ will be available on 9th June as a Spotify-exclusive stream before being released on all good digital platforms from the 16th via Ultra Records.
