CALAO Debuts on Diynamic with SCANDAL

Part of the Hamburg label’s new Four To The Floor 47 EP release, the tried and tested dancefloor cut is available from February 27

Riding the momentum of an impressive breakout year that saw her earn the attention of international tastemakers and A-list selectors, Belgian producer CALAO steps confidently into the New Year with the announcement of her new single SCANDAL, out now on Diynamic Music. Released as part of the label’s Four To The Floor 47 EP, the track marks a pivotal moment in CALAO’s ascent, signalling both artistic focus and the backing of one of electronic music’s most influential imprints.

There’s a certain moment when an underground track stops being a secret. For CALAO, that moment arrives with SCANDAL. First debuted by Diynamic label boss Solomun during his b2b with Anyma at Futur Festival in Turin last July, the track has already lived a full life on international dancefloors ahead of its official release, and was even used for the 2025 after-movie of The Core stage at Belgium’s hallowed Tomorrowland Festival.

Landing on Diynamic with only her second official career release is no small achievement and reflects the growing confidence in CALAO’s distinct artistic voice. Following the strong reception of her debut single W.E.I.R.D on Elif’s Marginalia imprint in October, SCANDAL makes it clear that CALAO is not easing into the spotlight; she’s stepping into it with intent.

Behind the alias is Charlotte Collard, a London and Brussels-based DJ and producer, whose music thrives on contrast and creative freedom. Her sound blends hypnotic electronic grooves with raw energy and bold melodic instincts, shaped by a desire to cultivate diversity and unpredictability within her sets. Each production feels like a natural extension of her DJ identity: emotionally charged, aesthetically considered and unafraid to take risks.

A true creative with a strong visual identity, CALAO approaches music as a fully immersive experience, where sound, aesthetics and emotion operate as one. Beyond the booth, she is also a committed activist, supporting organisations such as Charity Water, using her platform to transform artistic expression into tangible impact.
