Carl Cox and Cristopher Coe, who've shared the goal of keeping the joy and soul of the dancefloor alive, are teaming up to bring new label Awesome Soundwave to life, which is focused on releasing electronic producers that perform purely and only live.
Irish Techno producer, Christopher Coe, has produced, collaborated and performed alongside some of the world’s greatest electronic producers and DJ’s under the name Digital Primate. He is a sound artist who is inspired by landscapes and his performances are deeply dynamic, merged by extreme frequencies reinforced by the throbbing of the constantly present drum.
After releasing on Carl Cox’s label, Intec Digital, reaching the top 10 Beatport charts and getting support from many renowned DJ’s, Digital Primate decides to move forward in a more authentic manner, under his own name, Christopher Coe, to create and produce his new conceptual album called MNTS of SLNC (Mountains of Silence), which will be the first release of fresh Awesome Soundwave label.
MNTS of SLNC is a deep, emotional work, inspired by the mountainous landscape of Coe’s hometown in Ireland. With live recordings, the LP will additionally be a musical and visual piece.
The idea is to create a feeling of immersion into the landscape while highlighting the juxtaposition of scenery verses in an industrial space. The music will be the connecting element that will bridge the gap.
Ahead of the release of the upcoming album in May, there will be an EP from one of the tracks (Headland) by 4 remixers: Reinier Zonneveld, Fabio Neural, Robin Kampschoer and Sly Faux.
Christopher Coe's original track was also recently featured at Carl Cox’s BBC 1 Essential Mix, confirming the birth of their new joint label ASW (Awesome Soundwave).
