Paul Drynda and Daniel Bolinger, better known with their joint moniker Dry & Bolinger have undertaken an industrious streak of top notch releases which seems to have no halt. Their latest creation, a remix of the legendary Cece Rogers and Moodlife’s ‘Rumors & Lies’ will be released in a few days and is looking to add weight to their already rich catalogue.
The German DJ and production duo have been on the top of their game since reaching Beatport’s ‘Top 10’ with their first effort, which was then followed by heavyweight projects like: Tell Her’, ‘Say You Care’, ‘The Soul EP’, ‘I Don’t Know Remix’ and ‘Fell in Love Remix’ to name a few. Establishing themselves as a leading German Dance music export, the tandem have conquered the international electronic music scene with their unique combination of House, Deep House, Nu-Disco and Indie Dance sounds, which has landed them deals with elite labels such as: Mother Recordings, Kittball Records, King Street Sounds, Tiger Records, Milk & Sugar Recordings and Emma Music amongst others.
Dry & Bolinger’s achievements have been extraordinary and along the years they have manage to pile up support from international heavyweight DJs such as: Pete Tong, Bob Sinclar, Purple Disco Machine, Mihai Popoviciu, Copyright, Sam Divine and Alle Farben to name a few. They have also become a staple act amongst the media, having gained features and reviews on top press like: Music Crowns, iHouseu, Vents Magazine, Top House Music Blog, Global Techno Magazine, Masterbeaters, Top 40 Charts and many more. ‘Rumors & Lies Remix’ is certainly on track and has everything in place to continue Dry & Bolinger’s remarkable success tradition.
‘Rumors & Lies Remix’ kicks off with an infectious, traditional House beat and a long synth chord in the background which later transcends into phasing melodic highlights. The remix builds momentum with the Funky piano arrangement and intensified beat, whilst introducing the smooth, silky vocals to enhance the melodic factors within the track. Dry & Bolinger devise a subby bass-line to boost the lower end of the frequency spectrum, whilst adding spice with an array of swishing and percussive effects. The remix transpires into another vocal-driven section before going through a pitch-shifted breakdown, led by a higher pitched drum groove and processed vocals. The duo unleashes another chunky, bass-filled section, accompanied by the groovy piano riff and background, robotic vocals which paves the path for the production’s conclusion.
New Jersey based imprint USB Records is the label behind Dry & Bolinger’s latest remix of ‘Rumors & Lies’. USB Records is the brainchild of CeCe Rogers and Marshall Jefferson, who certainly need no introduction, being two legendary figures within the Dance music realm. CeCe Rogers is highly regarded as the original voice of House music, holding the honour of receiving his name from Funk master James Brown.
Since 2007, the label has established itself as a trendsetter, driven by the works of: Moodlife, Kj Rogers, Bri Brown, Serena, Mauro Ferucci, Tommy Vee, Keller, Syke N Sugastarr, David “Master Freez” Bucci, Mario Ferrini, Mauro Mondello, Paris Brightledge, Ultra Deep Boys and the two DJ and production extraordinaire owners. Dry & Bolinger are surely a perfect fit within the USB Records brand and their material will without a doubt contribute to the label’s further development and growth.
