Change The Beat, Drumcode and Mha Iri team up on Remix Contest

Open to woman, trans and non-binary artists, Change the Beat and Drumcode announce a competition to remix one of the biggest techno cuts of 2023; Mha Iri ‘Bell’.

CHANGE THE BEAT is a campaign from Sydney Blu which was created with the help of Native Instruments and is partnered with Beatport. Its aim is to assist record labels in discovering and signing women, trans, and non-binary producers to help foster a supportive and inclusive community, helping amplify diverse voices in the dance/electronic community through access to music programming, creative mentorship, and facilities for emerging artists.

Founded by Adam Beyer, Drumcode Records stands as the highest-selling and most influential imprint in techno, has spawned a radio show listened to by millions each week, and a sell-out festival in Amsterdam, attracting thousands from across the world. Over the years everyone from Marco Carola, Nicole Moudaber, Sam Paganini, Maceo Plex and many more have released on the label. Hosting stages everywhere from Tomorrowland, EDC and Awakenings has further reinforced the brand’s phenomenal following.

Mha Iri, the rising techno force from Scotland, has swiftly become the breakout sensation of 2023. In 2023, Mha Iri was the #1 best-selling female artist in Hard Techno on Beatport, and #2 in Peak Time / Driving Techno. All releases on Drumcode and Filth on Acid made it into Beatport’s Top 10 genre charts, with ‘Bell’ scoring the #1 chart position.

‘Bell’ was one of Drumcode’s biggest releases of 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity for budding producers to get their hands on the original stems and be in with a chance of an official release on the label along with some more fantastic prizes.
