London born songwriter Chelou has announced his first ever UK and Ireland tour supporting Domino Records signings All We Are. In celebration, he is sharing a cover of Nirvana classic Aneurysm as a free download for fans and listeners.
Chelou’s first tour comes off the back of a very successful 2014 where he caught the attention of producer Maya Jane Coles through Soundcloud demo’s of his songs The Quiet and Like A Dream – both going on to amass nearly half a million plays respectively between them.
Soon enough, he self-released his debut record, The Quiet EP. A beautifully put together emotive body of work that draws on a diverse range of influences on everyone from The Brain Jonestown Massacre, to Lana Del Ray and beyond.
The EP went on to receive widespread support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and XFM, being championed by DJ’s Huw Stephens, Lauren Laverene and Elbow’s Guy Garvey.
Aside from his upcoming UK tour, Chelou will be performing at The Great Escape festival in Brighton as well as supporting Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore in Paris.
His collaboration with Maya Jane Coles’ Nocturnal Sunshine project on track Believe will also be due for release this May.
