Booka Shade vs UNDERHER - Chemical Release

Booka Shade unite with emerging live act UNDERHER to deliver ‘Chemical Release’, dropping via Blaufield this March ahead of their 2019 Australia & NZ tour.

Booka Shade reveal “We fell in love with the sound of UNDERHER when we heard their remix of our song ‘Confessions’, and instantly knew we wanted a collaboration with them”. Following this remix last year, UNDERHER now return to Blaufield alongside the imprint bosses to unveil ‘Chemical Release’.

The resulting collaboration pairs UNDERHER’s trademark lyricism with Booka Shade’s high-quality production, in a driving ode to obsessively intense new relationships. It comes out in a package that includes an original and radio mix, plus remixes from each act – allowing both Booka Shade and UNDERHER to explore their own individual styles.

UNDERHER are a live electronic duo comprised of Tunisian-Canadian former DJ and tech enthusiast Kalden Bess & Italian-Canadian classically trained singer / songwriter Jessica Abruzzese. Their sensual take on deep electronica has landed them official remixes for the likes of Moby and U2, as well as gigs at respected venues including Stereo Montreal, Katerblau Berlin and Blue Marlin Dubai. They will be playing their debut headline London show at the Shacklewell Arms on the 6th March, just ahead of the collaboration’s release.

Booka Shade vs. UNDERHER ‘Chemical Release’ is out on Blaufield on 8th March 2019.
