Saladin - Chicago Dirty

Chicago based Saladin has an eclectic history in the music industry, routinely killing it at shows in his native US and testing out his amazing material to crowds of all shapes and sizes. His latest release 'Chicago Dirty' follows up from this year's 'Feel My Bass EP' on Phunk Junk, and delivers another shock to the system with its intricate and special Saladin sound.

Vocal samples hook the listener immediately; with Saladin’s classic, crisp percussion taking the lead from the get go. Slowly building synthesis and bass lines are encapsulating, culminating in the raucous drop. Extra synth lines enter, sounding like they are gasping for air in the busy bass landscape, with the production quality shining through for all to hear. Soft and subtle melodies combine in the track alongside the percussive levels and ludicrous bass line. This is an unassuming masterpiece from Saladin, with the power to destroy clubs and festivals alike, but also being perfectly suited to home listening. To have a perfectly balanced track like that is no mean feat, but Saladin manages effortlessly.

Dark, delightful and most importantly dirty, Saladin delivers once again to prove his growth as an artist isn’t stopping any time soon. Pulsating bass will be lingering in your head hours after listening, with addictive qualities all throughout the track. Available on Phunk Junk on the 5th June 2018, support Saladin in any way you can!
