DJ and Producer Chilsta returns with a powerful new release, ‘The Block’, an explosive Electronic track that captures his limitless approach to sound and continues to build his place as an artist to watch in the global underground scene. Born in South Africa, Chilsta’s musical story began in Durban at the age of 14, inspired by early exposure to his father’s House music collection during long road trips. Those formative moments sparked a lifelong connection to Electronic music and laid the foundation for a career driven by curiosity and exploration. Over the years, his sound has drawn from a wide spectrum of genres, including Hip Hop, RnB, Pop, Tech House, Techno and EDM, contributing to a style that refuses to be boxed into a single category. 

 Now based in Shanghai, Chilsta has carved out a reputation across diverse dancefloors in both South Africa and China. His journey has taken him through respected venues such as The Waiting Room in Cape Town, as well as Shanghai hotspots including 3NTRY, Mao Livehouse, T66 and Up. Along the way, he has built credibility as a dynamic performer, supporting internationally recognized acts like EDX, Captain Hooke, Temba and Kyle Watson.
