CHKLZ drop a “Remixerino” of ‘Nedal’ original single “White Wine Spritzer”

Recent IHU interview subjects CHKLZ are back, this time with a revisit to their previous incarnation as ‘Nedal’ band Okilly Dokilly, delivering a “Remixerino” of the group’s all-time top single “White Wine Spritzer”.

Taking the original Simpsons’-inspired metal ode and running it through their latest lens of groovy house music, CHKLZ deliver a marmite single, one that has the potential to throw fans of both house and metal thoroughly through the loop. Speaking about the new edit, DJ iLL Choppo said: “We are very excited to be releasing this track on Syn. We feel like the essence of this Remixerino captures and connects all the dots of our past, present, and future!”

Formed in 2015, the now defunct Okilly Dokilly was the world’s first ‘Nedal’ band, inspired by quite possibly the world’s most unlikely metal talisman, Ned Flanders from The Simpsons. Dressing in Flanders-esque outfits on stage, the band were featured in Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly, but most impressively had their music video for ‘White Wine Spritzer’ used during the end credits of The Simpson episode “I’m Just A Girl Who Can’t Say D’oh”:

Whether CHKLZ will reach similar heights of cultural cool in their latest incarnation remains to be seen, but it’s clear they bring the same kind of irreverent wit, charm and cheek to the dance floor as they did the mosh pit, so watch this space!
