Shy FX and Breakage ft Roses Gabor and Ghetts - Chocolate

Legendary DJ and producer Shy FX is proud to announce his brand new original track ‘Chocolate’ produced with Breakage featuring Roses Gabor and Ghetts, released via Insanity Records.

Premiered by Annie Mac as her ‘Hottest Record’ as well as Mistajam’s ‘Jam Hot’ track of the evening, the production features the enticing vocals of Roses Gabor, who has contributed to many songs, most notably with the Gorillaz.Ghetts also lends his signature, quick-fire biting vocals to the track, backed by a hefty bassline from producer Breakage. A key player in UK grime scene, Ghetts is the brain behind grime collective ’The Movement’ which included artists like Devlin, Wretch 32 and Scorcher.

Shy FX has proved his status as a tastemaker and innovativer time and time again with his constantly evolving sound. He most recently demonstrated it with track ‘We Don’t Care’ ft Shingai which he released earlier in the year. Alongside the track, he released a statement explaining his musical evolution: “I'm blessed to have 20-odd years of musical history, and deeply proud of everything I've done, but as ever I'm always looking forward! Right now I'm in a place where I feel like I'm a brand new artist, making music I've never made before… I want to create something that can't easily be put into a genre, mixing tribal elements, experimenting with grooves, arrangements, harmonies. and not forgetting VIBE.”

‘Chocolate’ comes hot off the heels of Shy FX’s annual party at London’s world famous Notting Hill Carnival. Hosted on bank holiday Monday, the mega line-up included Mark Ronson, Seb Chew, Lily Allen, Craig David, Manny Norte, Rude Kid, Redlight, Oneman, DJ Randall and Breakage, who all ensured Shy FX hosted another Carnival to remember.
