Coming together on an energy infused scorcher for the summer season, Chris Lake and Anna Lunoe join forces with “Stomper, ” out July 24th via Ultra.
Packing a punch from its opening declaration, “Stomper” lives up to the hype its name instills. With Lunoe’s roaring vocals leading the way, “Stomper” is an homage to classic house, techno and acid influences. An monstrous anthem that features that production prowess of both Lake and Lunoe, “Stomper” lures the listener in through a cinematic breakdown, before quickly winding up into a barrage of wide synth stabs and bouncing bass lines.
Only a few years after her initial move into North America, Australian-born Lunoe has slated herself as a unique and dominating presence in the electronic music community. With talents of writing, singing and producing under her belt, Lunoe has established herself as a triple threat with a keen ear for bass and house.
A multi-instrumentalist by the age of fourteen, Lake’s predilection for house music all began with the purchase of a synthesizer. That affinity never wavered, as Lake has developed a trailblazing signature over the years, earning a reputation as one of the most forward thinking producers on a global scale. Ever evolving, Lake’s most recent ventures have been a mixture of playfully funk-infused grooves imparted with modern house sounds, taking his productions in an exciting and creative new direction.
