After the autobiographical nature of Shelby Merry-collab ‘The Party’ burnt its way into the clubfloor’s consciousness last month, Ciaran McAuley wastes no time in debuting another first-time vocal link-up. As swift as it is artistically surefooted, he’s switched tonal gears and vocal chromosomes, to team up with savant singer-songwriter Christian Burns.
Together, on ‘You’re Enough’, Ciaran and Christian have developed something more ethereal in feel and life-affirming in nature.
Musically, Ciaran drapes cascading synths over the production’s opening moments, before developing the emotional connection between music and voice through his temperate pads and travelling chords.
Through his song, Burns explores themes of self-acceptance and emotional return – charting a journey from isolation to belonging. Whether self-reflective or outwardly directed, ‘You’re Enough’s lyrics hint at a homecoming conclusion, while Christian’s haunted at times, soaring at others, but forever captivating voice sears their meaning home.
A sentiment that can never be heard too often, ‘You’re Enough’ releases today. Find it wherever all good music is sold and streamed [https://blackhole.lnk.to/YoureEnough ].
