CID Unveils New Single and Label ‘Night Service Only’

Grammy-winning producer CID has dropped his latest single ‘Night Service Only’, the maiden release on his freshly formed record label of the same name, out June 21.

The New York-born artist’s first musical release of 2019, ‘Night Service Only’ is a four-to-the-floor groover destined to make it onto countless dancefloors this summer. Blurring the lines between a rugged jackin’ house edit and a bass house beat, the infectious vocal sample stating ‘we listen to music at night’ means it’s a track that lives long in the memory.

“I chose to name the first release “Night Service Only” not only because it’s the name of the label itself, but because in a way, it is the manifesto for what the label represents,” CID explains. “The vocal repeats ‘we listen to music at night’ which is a constant reminder of the kind of music you can expect from my label… music that’s meant to be heard and appreciated in nightclubs and on dance floors.”

CID cites dance music contemporaries such as Steve Angello (Size Records), Axwell (Axtone Records) and Don Diablo (Hexagon) as inspiration for starting the label, and he is confident Night Service Only can become a “place for people to discover quality music, and know that with each release, whether it be my own or from another artist, it is all music that I truly believe in”.

“The main idea behind Night Service Only is to create music for the dance floor,” CID continues. “I really want to use the label as a platform to showcase not only my own club tracks, but also music from the next generation of DJs and producers.”

If this wasn’t enough, CID has a hectic world tour schedule planned out for the coming months, including appearances at Tomorrowland, Chicago’s Spring Awakening and Denmark’s Tinderbox Festival.

Supplementing his stacked schedule with millions of monthly streaming listeners, CID has emerged as one of the most in-demand artists in a crowded dance music landscape. A talented DJ, producer and skilled engineer, CID has gained support from dance music heavyweights including Tiesto, Kaskade, Oliver Heldens, Pete Tong and Danny Howard as well as collaborating with mainstream artists such as Halsey, LSD, Cee-Lo Green and Conrad Sewell to name but two.

The formation of the Night Service Only imprint and the label’s inaugural release of the same name represent the next chapter in the story of one of electronic music’s most exciting acts.
